As with nearly all Doubles players simply because she was realistic to accept she wasn't good enough at singles to make a living and play at a high enough level.
Re Anna: She was making really good progress in to 2010, inside the top 300, and looking to kick on.
Then came her horrible injury, and 2 whole years out - I think many (me included) thought that was it for her.
But, she came back, and did pretty well on return, some great preformances in Sweden $10K's in her first outings back, really gutsy epics.
But, wasn't able to cover the courts well enough to resume her full singles form.
Joss was in a very similar situation, and they just seemed to fit together, with doubles allowing them to continue by saving them each half the court.
