Boys & Girls: 1st Qatar ITF Junior Open, hard - Grade 4 (Week 12)

Not a huge number of Brits but a couple of our major young hopes are playing this week which makes it interesting.

 

In the girls, Holly Fischer (born 2003) is fourth seed.

Jessica Dhome-Casanova also has a wildcard.

 

In the boys, Harry Wendelken (born Dec. 2001) is third seed.

Zyaan Ahmed has also come through qualifying.

All the seeds above Holly have turned or will turn 17 this year. Same for Harry who is a ver late 2001. Well done Zyaan onqualifying, still to play.

The official result is not up but sccording to Holly's family's tweet account, Holly lost the final in straight sets, to the third seed, Petroula, born 2000, JWR 275

But a great week, and sizeable extra points. Well done !
