Everyone knows that I am not a Harmony fan - although most times I mention it she seems to win ! (So I'm not mentioning it )
But she really doesn't have anything special. And I watched a couple of her matches recently on livestream and it's still solid-ish at best but not much more (although 'solid' obviously will get you quite far in women's tennis, up to a certain point).
Manisha was actually 2-5 down in this first set, but then won 4 games in a row to serve for the set, which she won to 15... But now at the start of the second set she has had a huge tussle to keep hold of her first service game... 15-40 down, two BPS saved... then another saved a couple of deuces later.. and eventually the game held. 7-5 1-1
So at the moment she is really showing her fighting qualities... hope she can keep them

Well, in the second set, Manisha was on course to repeat the trick. 2-5 down, she got the break back, and at 4-5 was serving to bring the set back to 5-5.. but after being 30 all, she got broken for the second time in the set, so the match is now 1 set all at 7-5 4-6
And losing that break at the end of the second set proved the end of Manisha's resistance. She lost 7-5 4-6 1-6, but her performance in the second half of both the first two sets when she came back twice from 2-5 down against the #1 seed should be very encouraging for her.
Laura did get on for a brief while before the rains returned, 1-3
They'll try again early this morning, but the deluge is scheduled to continue. Olivia & Manisha, still in doubles may have a very long wait.
