Curious that Olivia is out here and her successful doubles colleague is in Greece.

So nearly all three.
FQR: Manisha FOSTER (GBR) [q4] 830 defeated Jill Nora ENGELMANN (GER) [q14] 1124 6-2 6-3
FQR: Laura SAINSBURY (GBR) [q6] 931 defeated Svetlana IANSITOVA (RUS) UNR 4-6 6-2 6-2
FQR: Louise HOLTUM (GBR) UNR lost to Lidia MORENO ARIAS (ESP) [q16] 1138 6-3 6-7(6) 6-7(3)

About as wide a gulf in fortunes for our qualifiers in the draw as it's possible to get.

Hmmm extremely unfortunate for Manisha. That draw is not going to help her get back up the rankings again cry Her performances seem to be improving again too after her long injury layoff last year, just after her sole title victory in Sharm. A pity she couldn't have had a main draw win or two before such a match up, but I guess will be a good test for her of where her game is now.

For Laura, yes, she will be looking at Manisha's draw and be saying her prayers of thanks tonight... Hope she continues her steady improvement too.

Harmony Tan is overranked - Manisha has a chance.
Good draw for Laura S - she has potential to fly up the rankings

As for Louise Holtum, talented, but inconsistent and mentally fragile.
