Jodie serving terribly (25.9%).
It doesn't matter. She won the four games in a row to leadv 5-2*
Then had 3 SP at 40-0* only for Suzy to win the next five points.
So, now, JAB serving for the set. *5-3

No surprise - Suzy is a 600-800 ranked player and will stay in that bracket unless she develops a weapon. Jodie has potential to go top 300

Easy win in the end for Jodie - should climb to around 940 and another 100 places if she wins tomorrow.

Suzy doesn't look to have done much wrong. Jodie Anna just dominated after the opening two games.

Brits are 1-4 against Wachaczyk in 2017.
As well as Jodie's loss last week, she beat SBG twice and Laura S once, in the UK $15K's.
Katie S won the second of her consecutive titles by defeating the German in the final, for our only success. Time to double that number.

Top 300 is not saying much.

The LTA believe that Jodie has the potential to be top 100, at least.

And, for once, I think they're right.

(Of course, 'potential' is not the same as saying it will definitely happen but it's well possible)

Given that Jodie had only reached one ITF Pro QF before (lost to Harriet in Chiswick in 2015), this week has been quite a breakthrough - she hasn't dropped a set in the main draw on her way to the final either
