Looks like a pretty good serving day for Jodie, and a bad one for Em (who barely won half the points behind her first serve, and served 7 doubles), and the youngster comes through pretty comfortably 6-1 7-5.
Suspect Jodie will make short work of Suzy tomorrow, but either way great to have GB interest through to the final.
I haven't seen Jodie play but is she a decent prospect? I try not to read too much into junior results but she had a couple of good showings on the grass last summer from memory.

She's like a slightly more volatile version of Freya - tall, big-hitting, excellent prospect (but a bit more 'emotional' than Freya, say)
Got a game, in my view, that will move well into adults.
I wouldn't compare her to Freya.
I first saw Jodie win the Liverpool junior ITF at 14 and have seen her play several times since.
Very much a confidence player, but when on form is very difficult to play. She has a big serve, when it firing, and tends to go for her shots and hits a lot of winners. Her forehand used to be a big weapon, but no so much anymore and her backhand can be quite devastating at times.
Suzy is a steady player, lacking power, who uses finesse to win matches. Jodie will win comfortably if she is serving well.

I would say that's very similar to Freya.
I've seen them both play and they have similar techniques, similar physiques, similar strengths.
Both are very different from the Gabi style player, for instance. (who I also love) - smaller, far deeper knee band, more tenacious, more mobile, less weight to the shot. Freya and Jodie are not 'the same' but definitely of 'the same genre' of player, in my view.
