Vandenburg is a wind up merchant but to be honest tennis being a predominantly middle class sport in the UK then there will be more right wing attitudes prominent on these types of forums than a lot of Sports. Tories, UKIP Brexiters etc parties with Xenophobia running through them sadly.
For what it's worth from those who voted on this forum's Brexit poll there was a clear majority for Remain.
I think this forum has a pretty wide spectrum of views based on the thankfully very limited political related duscussions we have. No doubt on average to the right of yourself, Jaggy, but that does not necessarily make it on average particularly more right wing than the population in general. Whatever, to my mind it is quite clearly not particularly extreme in any direction. That is though really a separate issue from Vandenburg's long standing tradition for providing a fairly unique perspective.
Yes, I believe the Brexit result ( and there are plenty Brexit voters whose consideration is to be respected ), Trump etc has made it in general seem to some more open season for xenophobia etc, and that is a pity.
Sorry to the Clarkes etc for this thread being a bit usurped for now. And I possibly haven't helped.
Good challenge for Jay in the QF and I agree it would be fabulous to see him get some hitting practice in Rouen. The DC team has been a fabulous fulcrum of opportunity around which Evo, Kyle and up until his year out Wardy grown.

Indeed. At the moment he is probably just about in the top half dozen singles players I'd actually pick for the team. Probably a bit soon
But if a few players fall over ...
Anyway, some involvement would be great recognition for him and useful all round.
Jay seems to be our main men's hope for his age in the same way as Katie Swan is in the women's. Seems like a real family doing it the hard way. I watched him in Glasgow and was impressed. His ranking rise will be ideal when it comes to the inevitable challenger step up at Grass court season time.
I see now there is a new kindergarten race to Milan. Do we think Jay could finish in the top 20>?>
Have to go some, a big effect for Jay being the Race to Milan just started in January when he gained so many points late last year.
Hence in the last rankings he has 8 Milan race points compared to 62 in the 'big' race which started from last November. 20th place is already on 65 Milan race points in these pre Indian Wells rankings.
With his latest 20 points ( 18 last week plus 2 this week ) in running he has 28 points in the youngsters' Race to Milan and 82 points in the overall Race to London ( and 101 points in overall ranking ).
Though with the rate of progress he's been showing ...
