Thoroughly enjoyed watching 20 mins of the men's semi-finals in the doubles.

And big congrats to our Nikki Roenn who is now into the final !

Tight match....

NB I assume Nikki (Dutch ancestry?) was the smaller, blonder, light skinned guy? And the dark, more olive skinned guy was the Spaniard? If not, it wouldn't the first time I've watched livestream and thought I was watching A when really it was B.... :(
But, whichever way they won!

Tom lost the first set swiftly 2-6

But the second has been a real tussle

Twice Tom was a break up only to get pegged back.

Now 4-4 ...

the scoreboard says Tom has lost 6-4 in the second

But they were still playing, and the scoreboard had been wrong for a whole game (wrong person serving....) when the coverage cut out because it thought the match was over.

There might have been a huge delay between the two in which case hte score could be right. But also just possible that it's still going.... in which case, vamos Tom !

The live scoreboard still says the Spaniard won by 2 & 4.

Good luck to Nikki+ in their doubles final.

Roberto O O has played two singles matches already today, and not completely straight-forward ones either, so here's hoping he's feeling a little tennis-ed-out for the doubles....

Ortega may have had to play two singles matches today, but he won them both, so, unsurprisingly, would have felt pumped up in the doubles final:

Final:  (4) Roberto Ortega & David Vega (ESP/ESP CR 922 (684+238) defeated Carlos Gómez (ESP) & Nikki Roenn UNR (918+0) by 4 & 5

I don't think he felt pumped, as such: in fact he looked a bit tired, as also could be expected. Luckily, however, he had a good partner. They are not ranked what they are for nothing. Nikki and Carlos played a decent match and had a few chances but the others were just that bit better and deserved to win.
