Got the break back, but were frustratingly broken from 40-15 in the next game. Dug their heels in from then on in to stay in touch, but couldn't get the break.
Over and out 6-4 6-4
Not the most productive fortnight in China, but the fields are far stronger than previous years and that was a difficult draw. She's got another month before any serious doubles counters start to drop off.
Tara up tomorrow. Big ask for her but interesting to see where she is at.

Now down to JAB, our one main draw winner. Yes, certainly could have gone better for Tara and generally.
Not though exactly our strongest line-up out there this week and while a couple more in theory rankings upsets Maia's loss was I think possibly the only main draw one that in isolation rather surprised.
Except just possibly that Okamura is not in the form of her life.
She just beat a former top 30 player, Maybe she is. Last summers career high is within sight and could be about to fall in the coming months.
The defeat shows how players can fail to put in a perfomance after the emotions of a big win. And facing player with 300k social media followers counts as that. Just one trademark witty or sassy tweet from her could inadvertenly catapult Okamura from tennis anonymity to a household name amongst the Taylor Swift demographic. Certainly enough reason to watch your manners if you're a low ranked no one and playing Lora.
