Interrupted schedule here today.
Seeminlgly quite an unfortunate collapse in form from Lauren after her first set. Chelsea May still yet to play; now scheduled very early tomorrow.

Results here today leave GB women as a whole in 2017 like this:

Byes & w/o excluded; GB vs. GB match counts as two matches (there have been 22 all GB ties, so 317 unique matches if you prefer)

Maybe they're telling little white ones.... smile

Aren't they with the men?

THey'll certainly needs tons of bags of new dirt, if not, what with the weather they've been having - it's all be washed away and with huge pot-holes.

I thought this in previous weeks this year, when they also stated it was clay. Last years events were certainly hard courts for the ladies.
However, they definitely have clay courts on site: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Lyttos+Beach+Hotel/@35.335516,25.3537051,112m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x2757d0263dbec7e2!8m2!3d35.335166!4d25.352309

So, there's no reason why not. And, on the ITF event page, the OP is clearly delineated with Mens matches scheduled to hard courts, and womens matches to caly. So, it's probably true. But, still a bit perplexing.

Yep. I just noticed on the order of play, too, that it specifically has clay courts written on five of the courts.

So I hereby take back all scepticism !

Chelsea trains in France, I believe, or did, and down south, so she'll be used to red clay, no problem.

Doubt Alicia has had much experience of it though. And it'll be really slow, given all the rain.

I was looking at the location yesterday, trying to see if they had any indoor courts, as the mens dubs was playing. I was expecting it to be hardcourt for this week.

From the hotel website "In Lyttos Beach, there are a total of 22 tennis courts: 11 Hard Court, 6 Artificial Clay, 4 Artificial Grass, 1 Training Ground."
