Harriet beats the 36 yo 1999 Wimbledon semi finalist 7-6(4) 6-3.

Clearly Gabi and Harriet saw Ali's table and thought it was time to win.

Edit: OK, Gabi had started so someone passed it to her

But, Ms. Dunne takes advantage of her opponents weak 2nd serve to wrap up her first set, 6-4
Ms. Boulter, meanwhile, is 2 breaks each, having twice now surrendered the advantage, 4-4*

Definitely an opportunity for Katie in R2, I fancy Harriet's chances she is undoubtedly stronger than she was in 2014 and has will have closed the gap on Sherazad who at 27 is well into the peak years of her career and a little way off ripping up trees. Gabby has nothing to loose!

It's been a struggle for Freya down under; if she's carrying a niggle maybe she can get herself sorted and come out firing again soon.
Disappointing loss there for Katy
Great to have 3 R1 wins to cheer this week though; and, yep, fingers crossed more wins to come yet :)
