I've seen Tom F win two ITF titles, (Wirral and Sportcity) and he was class. At his best he is top 200, however he never really gave the tour a go and never played a full season. No idea why - possibly finances, but a talent that the LTA missed out on so far.
Article on aforementioned Tom Farquharson from 2009, just after he and Liam Broady won Wimbledon doubles: www.standard.co.uk/sport/future-s-bright-for-rising-star-tom-farquharson-6492747.html. It is mildly depressing that the only Wimbledon boys doubles final between 1993 (when I didn't recognise names and, out of laziness, I didn't check) and 2013 not (yet) to have at least one of its players go on to top 100 in singles or doubles should have been the one with four British players. That is not said as a commentary on the players - all of whom have (or had, in the case of those retired) significant potential and who may yet get there ... people speak well of Mr Farquharson and I certainly think Liam Broady could be top 100 in doubles - but on the oft-noted concerns about people being helped to transition.
