Enjoyed watching a bit of Tom's match on the stream - and he's just taken the first set 7-5 - against a real duracell battery motor clay player- absolutely amazing how they cover the court and their level of fitness.
I haven't followed Tom enough to have any idea about his theoretical ultimate potential. But I have seen him well spoken of and he entered the top 500 in 2013 at age 21 and reached his CH 429 just after his 22nd birthday.
Of course breaking through in the rankings in early 20s under extreme LTA rigid ageist thinking ( against much evidence ) and in the past seemingly pretty inflexible matrices that required huge leaps up rankings by early 20s no doubt didn't help him at all just when he probably needed that extra help.
