Much less straightforward. Shane underranked - think he just finished university last year. Or is he still there?

Just finished. That's a very difficult draw.

Lot of difficult draws here, though. Next match over is FAA vs Winston Lin - so quite likely FAA up for whoever wins the Corrie/Shane match. And at the bottom of the draw, it's Denis Shapovalov against Christian Harrison - which would make a nice Challengers match. And then there are a whole host of very handy Francophone players (Bossel, Barrere, Sakharov, Lokoli).

Ed broke in the first game and then simply held on. Took the set 6-4

Well done, Ed. That second set was a lot closer, looked dodgy at one point, but he got the job done in the tie-break, despite being down.

Ed had an early break. Ended up in a tie-break. Zillions of set points, each one. And Ed ended up losing it 12-10 or something like that :(

All told, given where FAA is likely to end up, that's not a bad match. Only Sakharov and Schnur standing between this and an all Canadian wunderkinder final.

No disgrace losing to FAA. Was just looking he's one win away from the top 500! Not bad for a 16 year old. How many professional tournaments are you allowed to play at that age?
