Week 10 - Turkey F9 ($15,000) - Antalya (hard)

And an even more impressive one than the other two. His Egyptian Futures' opponents were far lower ranked. It was still impressive to see him winning tournaments, but not quite up to this tournament's record of beating the world 323, 230, 302, and 547 (CH 255). Nicely done.

... and that's with him still showing on an unchanged 81 points. They haven't added his 18 title points, which will take him to 99 points and about WR 420 next Monday.

The wins against two top 400 and one top 300 player are very encouraging.

Indeed. And win another title and he'll be a clear top 400 player himself.

By the way, with the vast bulk of his points from last November onwards he was already #196 in the race on 62 points. Adding another 18 points will take him to 80 points from the maximum 8 counters at this stage. He actually has a further 'spare' 4 points, but post Indian Wells you can only have 8 counters ( 18 less the 10 mandatories yet to come - I was going to say not that Jay will be playing mandatories, but at this rate I can see at least one ).

( some 2017 predictors may have taken into account that Jay will still have most of his late 2016 points at prediction results time )

Just want to add my congratulations to Jay for his success this week. if he keeps playing like this, he could end up chasing Cam for the position of next GB player in the top 100. His rise has been meteoric over the last 6 months and long may it continue.

Don't know if this was picked up elsewhere but coaching recognition for Yaz Clarke  - Jay bearing witness to her success: IMG_1314.PNG

I wouldn't claim to be a total authority on Derbyshire coaches, but I would think very well deserved.

Your boy done good. Congratulations, Yaz

PS: What about Steve McClaren though ?

Hi All,
Just want to say thanks again on behalf of Jay and myself for all your support. Curtis also plays a huge part in Jay's success as he travels with Jay and has to put up with him on a daily basis biggrin Esteban Carill has also very recently started working with Jay, it's a great fit and addition to the team. Let's hope he can keep up his great form!

P.S let's not mention Steve McClaren disbelief

Lovely photo, Yasmin

And, yes, as per Smudge, you dropping by and keeping us updated is very much appreciated, the forum supports all British players but those with an 'extra' personal connection always get an extra cheer (or three).

And, of course, well done Curtis too !
