Well done to Mr Clarke (still in the top 10 U19 ... at least according to live rankings). And the doubles win is fairly spectacular.

Jay seemingly inclined once more to show that rankings are just a number....

Just taken the first set 6-1 against the top seed !!!!

That does look a rather excellent win, well done !

In general Jay just continues on a very impressive upward curve.

QF: Jay Clarke WR 480 beat (1) Vaclav Savranek (CZE) WR 230 (CH 228 last month) 6-1 3-6 6-0  biggrin

SF: Jay Clarke WR 480 vs (3) Clement Geens (BEL) WR 302 (CH 245 February 2016)

Geens, now aged 20, has a JCH 8. He has had quite a number of wins this year but did lose to Ryan Storrie in 3 sets in Shrewsbury R1.

And to Billy Harris last year in Cartagena.

I'm tempted to say that Jay is favourite for this one, but that will surely put the mockers on him.  Let's hope not.  We need this Jay story to keep on rolling.

I wouldn't say Mr Clarke was favourite; Geens is strong. But at this point, I wouldn't rule Mr Clarke out of a victory over anyone in a 15K on general principle. Which is quite a good thing.

Geens saves match point at 5-2 down and pulls it back to being 5-4 down, Jay on serve now..
