11 Aces, didn't face a single BP. 10 wins in a row. The field next week is slightly stronger, but only slightly. If Katie does stay on again, she could have another deep run, unless fatigue catches up.
Katie is entered and is with Jodie and presumably Lucie Ahl, so no reason not to.
Good chance to build up decent points and then step up to 25k. I wonder if Katie still has some exemptions from the junior champions tournament.
Very good to see and as Tony said showed what an injury free Katie can do. Stay fit and progress, Katie.
In the rankings short term, these two titles for 24 points to be added after Indian Wells almost cover the 26 points ( including 20 for reaching the FQR in Miami last year ) coming off after Miami.
She hopefully has more to add so ready to come out 'in profit' for these four weeks and much more important is seeing such consistent performances and the build in confidence it must give as she moves forward.
Winning well at this level and getting back on track is what is important, on reflection a very sensible bit of scheduling. More of the same next week please.
Yes, back to back titles and winning that final without any scares at all; very likely Katie must be feeling she's ready to move up to the next level now; especially if she can do the same again this week with a slightly stronger field to contend with. Go, Katie :)
It's difficult to know the best approach for Jodie re use of her JE's. That draw and all she will get is the experience of playing a top 500 player in reasonably good form, then again that's something. An easier draw and she could have got a win, a psychological lift, some points and impact her senior rank. She is likely to get more opportunities through WC in the summer and by continuing with Juniors more JE's next year so why not burn a few as part of an intensive couple of weeks of training out here with Katie? At least they schedules have been similar to potentially facilitate hitting etc...

Jodie, Katie S, Joel C, Finn B and Ryan S all train with Junior Tennis Coaching at Northwood / Chiswick. They've all gone out together as a 'team' - they've put a few pictures up on Instagram of them all together with their coaches. Makes much more sense for Jodie to use this event as one of her JE's and be with the group. More economical financially, moral support from team mates, and coaching / hitting partners on tap as opposed to going somewhere remote and possibly weaker on her own.
Well, it's hardly been a great trip as far as Joel, Finn and Ryan are concerned. They might have been better off on their own!
Katie has withdrawn from this week's event - presumably will fly back? But no real point just doing more of the same, especially if she's a bit tired or whatever.
Jodie has an easier draw so hopefully that will bump up her trip.
Wonder if Suzy and Laura have much to do with the JTC group?
Assuming Katie is not injured at all, that still looks possibly a wise move for her. There must have been a temptation to keep playing, to push the boat further.
