In the end, Busta pulls of the bagel in the 3rd set as Ruud fell away. Terrific week for Ruud though who will jump approx 75 places in the rankings to be in the 130's at just 18 years old.

Not wishing to take anything away from the young man, but getting to the semis of an ATP 500 without having to play anyone who is either in the Top 80 or indeed has EVER been inside the top 80 can't happen very often. He beat Dutra Silva, Carballes Baena and Thiago Monteiro, which are all very good wins but that is as kind as a draw can get.  Still have to take advantage of it though.
