Very good. Maia using the opening British futures again as a good platform to ... well last year not as much as I hoped.
Difficult to really assess Maia. At her best she does have a very promising consistent game. But she is inconsistent with her consistency and clearly deflected to a large extent by her studies - though I see down for Spanish and French 15Ks in the next couple of weeks so hopefully a chance to build on this.
Put wunderkind in her place, the runner-up place !

Not a bad week so far for the Lumsden family, Ewan is also in the SF of a grade 4 in Holland having beaten Belinda Benicic's little brother Brian in the QF
Very easy win and quite an easy draw this week, with only two tough matches.
The young Pole looked nervous and had an awkward game as she didn't have much power, but used spin and variety to mix things up. The fall in the first set didn't help and she hurt her knee, but i don't think she played anywhere near how she played during the week.
As for Maia comfortable, but she has played a lot better. Her first serve let her down, but she was too good defensively and put away every short ball.
Hopefully the first of many titles for Maia, but i understand she is not going to Mallorca and will next end up in Sharm.
