This match is a tad ridiculous. Maia is winning just about every return point on the deuce court, and on every ad side point Benoit (lefty) just serves it out wide and wins the point.

Maia is winning 81.5% on 1st serve and 27.3 on 2nd serve. It would pay her to serve two 1st serves and accept a few more DFs.

Maia playing some very authoritative tennis - although I do think, like football teams, it should be forbidden to both wear the same kit !

Well done Maia. Held firm through a very even match and didn't get flustered by missing so many opportunities.

Great name combination Grey/Nicholls is a top quality cricket bat manufacturer, so hopefully they manage to bat on to lift the title.

That will be a proper test. The Pole and the Japanese girl looked pretty useful.

As before, given the Polish girl is only 15, born late 2001, it's a great achievement for her to be in the singles QF, having thrashed the second seed. And in the doubles semi.
Well done to her.
