Scott Clayton's singles slump continues. Scott Duncan has his first ranking point.
Certainly his first since Dublin 2014 so a ranking again, and given it seems his only point previous to that was earned in Dublin the previous year, his first not from Dublin.

The power of making a name for yourself at Wimbledon: Marcus has just appeared in a short feature on the BBC News Channel's Outside Source programme! &
I think he is more willing than most to take any media proposal that comes his way. I certainly suspect Kyle has turned down a few 'let's get to know Kyle Edmund' opportunities.
Hoping to go and spectate tomorrow - depends how my man flu is when I wake up....
Edit having woken up - still not 100% so going to have to give it a miss. Didn't have much luck last year with spectating so was really hoping to be able to get to this one

Jonny Gray was twice up a break in the 1st set only to be pulled back each time but then after a monster game on the Gigounon serve when leading 6-5* he finally converts on his 5th SP to take the set 7-5. Go Jonny.
Second quarter-final on the trot for Jonny G (albeit with a little help this time round)
Good fortnight.....
Well second quarter-final in the 3 British futures and reached R2 last week ( lost to Marcus ) so 5 points in all and still going so really good start to the year. Takes him to 9 points in total. Now semi final points would really boost this.
Well done Jonny G for taking out the top seed for the 2nd time in 3 weeks. I think Joel may have softened him up a bit yesterday.
Not to be for Ryan though who loses a really tight match, 6-4 in the 3rd. Marcus will therefore get an early chance to avenge his defeat of 2 weeks ago in Glasgow at the hands of Vandenbulke. Hope Willbomb remembers to bring his serve with him this time.
