A particularly good win against the three of them!

QF: (3) Tara Moore & Conny Perrin (SUI) CR 310 (161+149) beat Amra Sadikovic & Anna Zaja (SUI/GER) CR 342 (148+194) 6-2 6-4

The little matter of Taco's 180 points from being last year's WTA International Rio Open runners up come off on Monday so a very good week to start pushing back up would be very welcome.

Tara drops the first set 3-6, then calls an MTO.

Good stuff

With relatively so little to defend before the grass season - 24 points from 3 tournaments out of her current 368 points ( now going to become at least 375 ) if Tara keeps fit and well she should rise up the rankings over the next few months.

It would still be great to take out her quite recent CH 152 here and now ( well on Monday week anyway ) and enter the top 150 ( although with Tara we should maybe more wish for the top 149 ).

3 consecutive DFs in Tara's opening service game

Now trailing by a double break, 0-3*

She's honking

1-4*

But then she started terribly yesterday as well

Atrocious pretty much from the first point to the last, losing 6-1 6-1.

Hugely disappointing given the opportunity she had here. Only real fight was in the final game.

Wouldn't be surprised if she pulls out of doubles to make Budapest WTA sign-in at 4.

A performance where you almost wish something were wrong, in order to explain it and give it context.

:( she didn't hold serve once, winning 19% of points on her 2nd serve and only 13/45 service points in total - so maybe something is wrong there. Hopefully not...

Ah well, on to the next!

I did her a disservice, stuck around for the doubles, and have taken the first set 6-2.
