Wow, at 5 all, Grigelis puts one on the line (IMO) that would have been a clean winner. Umpire puts palms out but the line judge calls it out. Grigelis not happy.

*6-5
*6-6 saved
7-6* Great point by Jay, Grigelis made him wait to hit second serve but he played a good point to win it using that huge forehand of his
7-7* Too good Grigelis
*7-8 ace...
7-9

Such a shame. Great match. Could have gone either way

Yes. I saw it on the line too.

Quite understandable that Grig was not best pleased. But he dealt with it well.

Shame with that whole clutch of match points that Jay had that he couldn't find one to go his way but he played superbly throughout - a really good match.

I think to be fair Grigelis played the match points unbelievably well and for that reason deserved it.

Absolutely.

But Grig obviously hadn't played very well to concede all the match points. Or Jay had played extremely well to gain all the match points. Whichever way you want.

Any match that gets to 6-6 in a third set tie-break must end up as a cr*p-shoot, really. Well done to both guys, it was great stuff.

Well done to Marcus Willis, but so sorry for Neil Pauffley - he's had some super results. Hope this is a minor thing - and that he can let it heal. And hope Mr Clarke is all right ...

It doesn't appear that the injury is too serious as Neil is now playing his doubles match with Marcus.

Marcus has lost the opening set 6-3 to Guez. Seems very little to chose between them. BP conversion were : Marcus 0-2 Guez 1/1

Just turned it on and Marcus is having a right ding dong with the umpire about something...?

Ball kid dropped a ball. Guez saw it but umpire didn't. Ump asked ballkid if he dropped it he said he did. Marcus had hit a clean winner which Guez had not got near.

That sounds really poor but even so he shouldn't have let it bother him as much as it did.
