Meanwhile, Aidan McHugh continues his fine showing over the last week or so by taking the 2nd set 6-3 against Willbomb. Another match goes to a decider.

Jay shows how quickly he is progressing by overturning last weeks defeat by Grenier, and taking him out 7-5 in the 3rd today. Another terrific win from the young man. So impressive over the last few months.

Thrilled for Jay.

Equally, Jonny G was playing very well last week (as per livestream); best I've seen him play. Exciting if he's jumped up a level.

(Few pennies richer too: ta, lads.)

And Aidan must certainly be chuffed with his performance.

Just hope Jonnie's all right......

Jonny O'Mara is having a lot of pain in his hand and was struggling with his grip when serving, hence his retirement. This has been an ongoing problem for a long time and a scan is likely soon. He has withdrawn from next week's tournament at Shrewsbury.

Scott and Jonny are out of the doubles. All the best to Jonny O.

But nice to see Board member Joe Cooper get in as an ALT.

Excellent win for Jay Clarke.
I hope the injury to Jonny is not serious as he is climbing up the rankings nicely.
