Apparently Katie was far from fully fit this week, indeed reported as looking in pain at times, so I am sure that it is no issue with Wirral ! All the best to her.
By the way, I don't really know the area at all, but didn't it use to be more the Wirral than Wirral. Now Ukraine making clear it wanted rid of its "the" had actually pretty significant and charged historical reasoning, not sure if there has been great debate in Wirral ?

Sorry - that was me being clever. For those that do not know Katie was a late withdrawal from The Wirral last year due to an injury at Sunderland and again this year after an injury at Edgbaston. I've never seen Katie play and The Wirral tournament is my local ITF tournament
Yes - technically it is The Wirral Peninsula - the event is actual held in Bidston which is an area within the Wirral Peninsula
It's at the Bellevue Country Club which is the truly swanky, posh end of tennis. They've never had an ITF before, it's a bit of a shock to the system.
The car park has Porsche, Maserati, Bentley, Jaguars - and now a big influx of cheap, clapped out bangers - including a camper-van in which two Poles are sleeping ! (Billy eat yer heart out). Stan Wawrinka is wandering around, practicing...and there are tons of unknowns looking a little over-awed....
