Ali showed some really nice touches at times, she does have variety which is good to see.
I thought she was going to go away after the first couple of games in the second set but really dug in in the middle of the set and played her most consistent stuff but couldn't get the early break in that set back, though pressed for it at 2-3*.
Certainly feisty, just needs to watch not get down on herself. Good experience.
Moved over to catch the last few games of Eleanor's match, which I'd just spied from afar till then. Moving really well and just very consistent. And having missed MP at 5-3* closed out the final game in style. So good to see such talent in action. Stay fit !!
Unlucky Ali. She lost 6-3 6-2 against WR 427, bearing in mind she is the youngest female competitor in this 15k at only 16! Ali and Maia playing dubs later.
Unlucky Manisha too, close against the WR 529 in the first set, but sadly didn't manage to take the win in the end losing 5-7 2-6.
Sarah up a set and 3-1 up in second but live scoring not functioning again!
Eleanor took the first set and is up in second also.
Maia is next up on court 6 against a qualifier.

Maia will be a while yet. Aidan McHugh and Scott Clayton still slugging away there, just going back to watch ( edit : or not since Aidan wraps it up quickly at the end, was very impressive from what I saw earlier ) and then Jonathan Gray's match before Maia.

Oh yes, however there is 7 womens matches alone on court 6 with only one been completed, along with all mens, should we be expecting for all matches to be played today or will they be rescheduled?
Looks like they are playing the third match now on most courts - which are the matches scheduled not before 12:30. So plenty of time yet to get them all in.
All today as indoors, easy enough to move around if they need to. There's only 5 womens matches on court 6 btw (and two mens).
Laura clung on for deal life in the second set, and against the odds had a set point at 6-5*. She took a solid 6-3* lead in the tiebreak, and wins it 7-6(5). Honestly, that was a huge effort, impressive!
