Wildcards have gone to the clutch of younger players:

Sean Hodkin

Aidan McHugh

Luke Oakley

Jack Molloy

Poor Jack has drawn the second seed but the others can't complain about their draws.

I wonder if Jonny (14 matches) & Scott (33 matches) will be able to extend their winning runs in Doubles.

Great to see livestreams of the UK ITFs.

Sean and 'young' Marcus W are currently being streamed, which is interesting.

(Don't have a link, mine is the Bet365 site, but I presume it's elsewhere too)

Marcus W has taken the first set 6-2

Jay Clarke is having a ding-dong battle with Frenchman Max Tab. who did 4 years degree at top uni, UCLA, Los Angeles and now is trying pro tennis (got to be 360 in the world 18 months ago). 4-4

18 year-old Marcus Walters gets his ranking back, beating Sean 6-2 7-5 (nice second set from both, Sean the more aggressive in general)

Jay's court's gizmo has stopped, with Jay having three first set points.

I believe those qualie results mean we ought to be expecting "Emile Hudd" to reach the last 16 of the Australian Open within two years.

Yes. And it's the first time I've seen truly ambidextrous player, Nico Rosenzweig, play. Only forehands. Can't quite see on the small screen how he shunts the racket to get his grip on the bottom of the racket each time or if, on one side, he plays with a grip slightly further up. (Think it's the former).

But very interesting..... (and, as said before, not surprised that the French Tennis Police drummed him out of France, poor lad.... smile)

Marcus W Senior follows up Marcus W Junior, WillBomb winning 6-1 6-3

Jonny has taken the first set 6-1 against Luke O

The next match is up on Jay's court so I take that to be (fingers crossed) that Jay won......but there was certainly time for two quick sets the other way.....help, the uncertainty.....

So I'm not the only one doing time calculations re Jay C's match.  It certainly looks like it was a 2 set match but of course we don't know for sure if he won the 1st set.  He was *5-4 40-0 up when the gizmo failed but stranger things have happened.

Where's Yasmin when we need her.
