I've only ever seen Blancaneaux from the clips when he won Roland Garros juniors last year. Is Gicquel coaching him?
No idea, but I did wonder that myself.
On the subject of the composition of the top half of the draw, Raja & Sharan (1) survived their encounter with Eysseric & Stakhovsky, but only just (6-7(4) 6-3 [11-9]), & face Behar & Golubev in the QF, while Jebavy & Sancic also survived (also in three), but face Elgin & Zelenay in the QF after the latter beat Knowle & Melzer (J) in straight sets...

Raja & Sharan are now out (not as invincible as I thought, clearly!), beaten by 6-7(0) 6-4 [6-10] by Behar & Golubev! A Russian who now plays for Kazakhstan & a Uruguayan. I wonder which language they use to communicate with one another.
Now the third seeds, Jebavy & Sancic, are out, beaten by 6-2 3-6 [8-10] by Elgin & Zelenay (CR 214). Open season on seeds in Quimper! I sincerely hope Ken & Neal, the only ones left, don't fall victim to the curse!
SF: (WC) Grégoire Jacq & Hugo Nys (FRA/FRA) CR 478 (266+212) vs (2) Ken Skupski & Neal Skupski CR 167 (76+91)
Despite their lowly combined ranking, the French WCs did for the fourth seeds, Galdós & Neis (CR 200, ,by 4 & 1 in the first round & have just despatched Steven Diez & Enrique López (CR an even lowlier 965 - I presume Diez used his singles ranking (165) to get them into the main draw) by 7-6(3) 6-3.
