Johanna now the only Brit standard-bearer among the big boys & girls.

Should have won that match. Served for the match, had match points.

PHH had a mare until end of the second set and Dom's serve fell apart under pressure.

I followed that match too.  It was heart breaking.  I don't think they had faced even one break-point until serving for the match.

Jamie has fallen to 8th in the mens doubles rankings (live version) and behind John Peers. Be interesting to see how Jamie and Bruno rebound and whether their partnership lasts beyond this season. No reason to believe it wont but the current trend seems a little like Premier League football management with relatively little longevity and partners moving around. Jamie and Bruno are friends of course, but things can go stale.

Very pleased for the Aussies to have a finalist.

Allez, John Peers and Henri Kontinen !

Massive congratulations to John Peers and Henri Kontinen on winning their first grand slam title, adding to to the Paris Masters and WTF final victories at the end of last year. It seems all but undeniable to me that the Murray/Peers partnership rescued Jamie's career and that without it Jamie would not now be a two time Grand Slam champion. I am therefore delighted that John has also gone on to achieve success at the highest level.
