He had "The Times" on his shoulder. Unfirtunately he got a code violation for poor diction.
In the final set, use of his regional dialect "oc" as opposed to the more classical millwallian "uc" preferred by the London based national press in a bout of verbal self flagellation must have been a major disappointment to his new sponsor. As always a prompt apology from the Eurosport commentators saved the day.

Not for the first time, !!!
I believe that Oakland is alluding to Dan's use of a 4 letter word that includes the letters f, c and k.

I'm glad he's got clothing sponsors now too. I bet Nike are kicking themselves.
And that is? Not seen/heard any interviews.
His clothes were mentioned again in the on-court interview after the Tomic match and he said he had had a number of approaches but wasn't going to get distracted by that kind of stuff until his tournament was over.
The Times and Virgin Atlantic I think. I seem to remember reading it in his presser from today's match. But he only had a few shirts so he had logos sometimes but not others.
I don't have a problem personally with Dan swearing although it was a surprise the first time I saw him play but I feel it is all directed inwardly.
His on court behaviour is without malice, he is without fail polite and respectful to the ball boys and girls, generally when he has a disagreement with an opponent or umpire it has a rational basis. He seems to have a genuine love of the game and frequently applauds or praises an opponent for an exceptional shot or passage of play in his running commentary.
Although maybe not an obvious natural in front of the camera, I always want to hear what he has to say and wouldn't be at all surprised if after his career is over we hear him behind the microphone, and generally engaging trying to make the game more accessible, time will tell but a potential massive asset for Midlands tennis.
The swearing is a real non-story in my opinion. Andy does it quite frequently. So do many other players (although often in their own languages, so - somehow - that seems to be acceptable). As Oakie says, fair-play and respect is far more important and Dan is A1 there (as is Andy).
Hmmm. Well, I never liked AM's draw, but I thought the problems were a little later than that (was most worried about Wawrinka). Given that Novak Djokovic went out enough earlier to keep the points differential, it's one to regret - esp if people get good ideas on how to play AM from it! - but not a complete nightmare ... and it does make for quite an interesting tournament from hereon in. The two middle sections (Wawrinka/Tsonga and Monfils/Nadal/RBA/Raonic) alone would provide quite a bit of entertainment.

On Loyd Glasspool's twitter he mentioned a funny tweet last night about Zverev, anybody understand it??
I have no idea what Lloyd was alluding to and I am going to chose my words carefully here but there were quite a few matches in Zverev's earlier days that had some, how can I put this, interesting betting patterns.

Absolutely. Dan swears on court all the time but the target of his ire is always the same, himself.

Thanks for clearing that up RJA, this is news to me, but in all honesty, never liked Zverev, and the younger seems like a brat.
What an amazing few weeks for Evo! i didnt think at the start of the year that i would have been disappointed him losing to Tsonga! Obviously i never expected him to win but you know what i mean. It really does put his achievements in perspective! Heres to a successful season!
Given that Evo's success over the last two weeks has lessened the need for him to dash around chasing points and/or prize money it might be a good idea if he revises his schedule. At the moment he is looking at
Week 5 - Davis Cup (in Canada)
Week 6 - Montpellier
Week 7 - Memphis
Week 8 - Delray Beach
Week 9 - Dubai
Week 10 - Indian Wells
Leave aside the amount of tennis he could potentially play that is a lot of long haul travel and lots of big time zone changes. Missing out on Montpellier and staying stateside after the Davis Cup would seem a pretty obvious move to me.

There was a bit of a to do around the Dallas Challenger in 2013 http://www.menstennisforums.com/2-general-messages/227025-mischa-zverev-should-fined-atp.html
Zverev apparently withdrew from a match v Kuznetsov in 3rd set and then went straight out and played doubles as partner to Kuznetsov a short while after...not sure what else has happened
