It was close but Dan was the more aggressive player and ultimately got rewarded for his more ambitious play. Must say Dan's defensive play was absolutely outstanding, staying in rallies long after he should have lost them. Came to the net tons, superb volleys with just a few errors. Top spin backhand was excellent, plenty of backhands down the line that seemed to surprise Tomic. BT hit lots of aces and plenty of good shots; didn't really deserve to lose in 3. 

Great, great TB from Dan putting behind him the disappointment of not taking it at *5-4 when as said one different shot option at SP and it would have been his.

Actually then saving SPs at *5-6 probably helped put him into the TB in a better mindset.

Evans looks the significantly happier of the two. Looked to have been cramping a bit beforehand. Also gets his first serve back, having missed it before the rain came. Tomic looks a bit bemused.
