WOW; that was stunningly good stuff from Jo today :D :D :D
Aga could hardly get to the net as Jo was pinning her to the baseline and hitting past her.

#1 on the Road to Singapore...the WTA Finals are surely beckoning for Jo this year :)

That was amazing. Jo is redlining. It's a shame she has such a tough draw next week, though no counting her out against anyone in this form!

Despite the fact that I'm in Sydney at the moment, I'm late to the news of Jo's success as I was in a theatre with no phone reception!

It's incredible how Jo continues to get better and better, and she has been playing fantastic tennis all week. She may have a tough Australian Open draw, but will take some stopping.

What a great win and what fantastic tennis - just how deep did Jo hit the ball, time after time!  Aga played well but just could not get inside that baseline to play her usual array of shots.  So pleased for Jo.

Just brilliant.

Yes, as said earlier how she has gone on from that Aussie Open SF last year and then started this year to so insulate herself as these Aussie Open 2016 points drop off.

Now back up to her CH, WR 9, taking everyone's Aussie Open 2016 points off for a starting 2017 live position Jo plunges to err 11.

And toughish draw there as some say, in form to do very well again.

Fab effort. Huge congratulations to Jo and team. Especially pleased to see Fitzy involved with another British player who is pushing forward. Good luck to Jo at the AO.

We are being thoroughly spoilt at present but I, for one, am enjoying it so much.

Thanks for that.

Err, flamin heck ! Aga indeed looked blasted off court by power and length with seemingly little chance to use her considerable craft. Indicative, in the very last game she did employ a cute angled short slice when actually given some brief time at the back of the court and the commentator began "that's the first time today that we've seen her employ ..."

Really hoping Jo gets a QF crack at the other Williams sister this year! Not too bothered about the draw it is a product of where jo sits from a seeding perspective. It does however represents only recent history. In this form it is a chance fo Jo to write her own; it is that type of (change in) philosophy that has allowed Jo to improve so significantly over the last 18 months!
