Superb from both. Liked Novak's reactions after getting out of the last game - I think he too thinks it a rather good match.

*3-3

Oops 3-4*

Tough now. As said Novak generally servicing very well, about as well as I've seen that operating.

And so an hour or so on from the last time Novak to serve for it at *5-4 up.

Sadly, it would appear that the monkey's back on his back:

Final:  (2) Novak Djokovic (SRB) WR 2 defeated (1) Andy Murray WR 1 by 6-3 5-7 6-4  cry

After all that hard work to turn the match round, saving several match points in the tenth game of the second set & having no break points of his own until that game, it goes for nought!  disbelief

Bitterly disappointing after that comeback.

Novak wins 6-3 5-7 6-4

These ATP 250s are a pretty good standard

Very entertaining. Both played some brilliant stuff.
Nice exchange at the net at the end.

Hmm, a bit of course but it's not the month's priority and much still to take out of the match. Both go to the Aussie Open after playing very well here.

All in all, that was a pretty good appetizer for the season ahead. Not the result we wanted, but such is life. For Week 1 of the year, there was some unbelievable tennis on both sides of the net.

Novak was only at 20% this week, he had a cold but still was able beat top form Murray, should have only been 2 sets but Novak made it longer. The real no1 is back for sure.

Actually, Andy was only at 10% all week as he was too mentally preoccupied worrying about what Vandenburg might say about him on the Forum wink

Happy New Year.

I think you need to go back to school and learn what 20% is.
