Kyle's mind seemed to get very muddled serving for the set there, serve and volley second serve to Stan's bh and then the fh slices.

They keep saying that it is rare for Stan to show positive or negative emotion.
Tie break!
Kyle 4-0 up in tie break...
Make that 6-1 up...-- Edited by LordBrownof on Friday 6th of January 2017 02:10:58 AM
Woohoo
Kyle on serve : Won 25 points (71%), Lost 10, 0/1 BPs saved. Stan on serve : Won 32 points (56%), Lost 25, 7/8 BPs saved. Especially after all that proceeded, I was kind of thinking at 6-1* in the TB it would be quite a tough set to lose [/understatement]
Well done
Set 2 ...
QF: (2) Stan Wawrinka (SUI) WR 4 beat Kyle Edmund WR 45 6-7(2) 6-4 6-4. Pity. Stan gets the better of sets 2 & 3, but it looks to have been a really good effort by Kyle ( I didn't see any of it ). Bodes well for the year ahead.
So near but so far....just woke up and had a read and was getting quite excited until I saw he'd gone 2-5 down in the 3rd
Still a great effort, unlucky Kyle. I can see him having a good run in Melbourne.
