Goodness. Didn't expect that. Hope Pouille is all right and that it's just a temporary thing. And since someone has to benefit, I'm glad it's Kyle Edmund.
Yes. Good points for Kyle but he still hasn't covered off the points he will lose next Monday. He also reached the QF in Doha at this time last year, but having come through qualies on that occasion, he has 57 points to defend. So far he has 45 to go back on. He then has a further 158 points to defend over the following 4 weeks. It gets scary when you get to this level but as long as he keeps improving, his ranking will take care of itself over time.
Sounds like Pouille has a foot or ankle problem. There were tweets about an MTO early in the second set where he was getting his foot taped up. EDIT: Just seen that the BBC are reporting it as blisters.
As for Kyle, Wawrinka or Troicki next up.

We will definitely see Kyle's ranking fluctuate this season, but completely with Bob in that despite his rapid progress it is all about becoming more consistent over 12 months.
Until he gets in the top 32 he standards a good chance of meeting big guns early so a run of bad luck could see him out of even slams early. Conversely a few decent draws in a 250 with the right field and he may get some silver ware on his shelf. Easiest to enjoy his experiences week by week and reflect in December.
