Really yo yo match -Katy was 5-3 down final set after having an early break. Broke to lead 6-5 only to get broken.

Tie breaker currently in play.

Another terrific win - always up in the breaker, but kept getting pegged back.

That is quite a reversal from the last time they played. I may have to change my 2017 end of year predictions.

Great win from Katy, nice to see her picking up some decent results. Next match will be even more difficult against the second seed.

Katy is one who seems to take quite a while to consolidate her position as she moves through the levels.  We get really excited as she storms ahead and then she kind of hits a plateau and drops down a little bit and stays there for ages before eventually repeating the cycle and storming ahead again.  Hopefully, going through the upward section of the cycle at the moment!!

Katy is certainly on a roll this week ! The doubles SF opponents had a CR of 582 (378 + 204), o that is another really good win.

Yes indeed, 3 good looking consecutive wins which will have Katy ( so far ) back up to possibly just inside the top 300 ( April 2015 CH 272 )

And doubles on top, the final will have her ( so far ) back up to about WR 380 ( June 2016 CH 350 ).

For her singles yes it would be great if she could really push on again from oscillating around the WR 300 mark over the last couple of years.
