Odd turn of events. Suzy withdrew 2 weeks ago but is now top seed in the Q draw meanwhile two other girls, Isabella Nunez and Julie Ball, were supposed to be in the qualifying tournament but don't appear. Of course they may yet turn up in the main draw
Suzy still hasn't got 16 counters so it must be tempting to keep going while she's racking up points. With 4 points from the last 2 weeks she should be under 700. She was down for the following week as well, so I wouldn't be shocked if she turns up.
Clearly looked tempting to stay on with an even weaker looking Cairo field than last week.
This is the last Egypt tournament of the year though and as discussed in last week's Cairo thread do hope she takes her improved ranking and spreads her wings next year.
I think it is a very pragmatic move to stay on. Getting more ranking points here will only make things easier or create more opportunity easier when she does try to push on.
