Quiet, steady progress. And by now, she must be very familiar indeed with Egypt, too, having spent (with appropriate breaks, perhaps to come and go for visa purposes?) the better part of four and a half months there. Indeed, as someone who has spent the better part of half a year in the Middle East, she must have a fascinating perspective right now. And as a tennis player, too. UNR to about 700 in six months is quite impressive!

yes Suzy has been picking up points and he ranking is steadily improving I think the tournaments in Egypt are not very strong Dasha Konoptsova gained many points over there too and she never pushed on I feel Suzy should play some European tournaments now

Without admittedly particularly analysing it my general impression is that the Egypt tournaments, particularly the almost weekly Sharm tournaments, are fairly average in depth and quality, just maybe having dipped for a period after the air disaster.
I agree though that it would be good to spread her wings much more next year, but more particularly for variety.
These tournaments in Egypt are not usually weaker than other 10k tournaments around the world but this one is indeed weaker with a Ll taking the place of the second seed.
Let's hope that Suzy seeded 5 here takes advantage. Mirabelle is usually seeded but has not been getting the results that we would expect.
