Dunblane Tennis Academy?

(I really can't decide which section this belongs in. Mods please feel free to move it)

Andy's Mum is pressing ahead with her ambitious scheme to start a Scottish equivalent of the NTC, just outside Dunblane...

It's a great location for a centre, you can reach the vast majority of the population in an hour by either train or car. Within a mile there are two train stations for North/East/West connections and less than a mile a dual carriageway north and motorway south/east/west.

Having grown up in Dunblane I spent a lot of time playing golf on land adjacent to the proposed site or walking back to Dunblane from Bridge of Allan (where the better pubs are) along the proposed outer edge of the site. I think the objections to eroding the space between the towns of Dunblane and Bridge of Allan are nonsense, there is a huge amount of space between them and there still would be post development.

The only slight down-side to the location is there are already 8 indoor courts within 20minutes (6 at the Gannochy/Stirling Uni and 2 at the new Gleneagles centre) so it's already well provided for, compared to Fife and other parts of Scotland. I think the fact that it's Dunblane and where the Murray's are from, vastly outweighs this issue, in terms of providing a lasting legacy for them.
