They can be a real faff if you aren't familiar with the keyboards for different languages ... though admittedly cut and paste is an option in this case. On a more tennis-focused note, hope that both Luke Bambridge and Tim van Rijthoven are all right. I'm slightly glad to have no conflicts of interest in this next round. And hopeful of a partially GB final. While unseeded, Mr Norrie and his partner (also at TCU) are potentially a rather formidable pairing ... indeed the Chilean pipped Mr Norrie by one place (no 9) in the ITF junior ranklings.
Mr Nunez is interesting in that despite being more highly ranked as a junior than Cam, by comparison his development as an adult, they are both juniors at TCU, in singles is miles behind (a better analogy would be feet (or inches) ).
At 5'6" one can compensate as a junior but on the men's side I don't think there is anyone in the top 200 that vertically challenged. By comparison the likes of Ferrer at a large 5'8" (175cm) are giants of the game.

I know the common ones off by heart (ALT key codes rather than different keyboards), so no real faffing as far as I'm concerned, & that's what I assumed would happen.

Apologies for taking the time to update things on my mobile on which I can't ( that I know of ) do accents or cut and paste

If it's of any help, earlier this year I inherited my immediate boss's cast-off iPhone 4, of which I don't make as much use as perhaps I should, largely because it, like any other example of modern technology, scares the living daylights out of me! If you look at the keyboard that appears at the bottom of the screen when, for example, you're writing an e-mail, between the "123" icon & the space bar in the bottom left-hand corner, there's a little globe icon. If I tap on mine, I'm given the choice of English, French, German & Spanish & just keep tapping till the one I want appears. The icon could, however, be there only because our IT chap enabled them for me by going into "Settings". I've just had a look myself & from Settings, you go to "General", then scroll down quite a way to "Keyboard" & from there to "Keyboards", where you're given the option to "Add new keyboard". I worked my way through it & have now added Italian & Portuguese myself. If I can do it, any other idiot can!
That's actually quite handy to know, SC - thank you. But while I will admit to being enough of a language geek that I added a Danish keyboard to my computer purely for the sake of getting Søren Hess-Olesen's name right (a sure sign that I need to get out more), I also have to admit that when I am typing on this board or in internal communications, I am sometimes prone to just using the English keyboard - all depends on time.
It's interesting that some people prefer the alt key codes - about which I feel the way you feel about technology generally - and some the different keyboards. I believe people who tell me the alt codes are easier - really I do! But I much prefer using the alternate keyboards.
On my iPhone 6s if you hold down the letter you want rather than tap, a line of accented letters appear. Slide your finger to the one you want and hey presto, sorted. Im sure this was the same on my old iPhone 4.
Thanks SC and others. No.iPhone, my mobile is android Samsung Galaxy Core. I think I can maybe do keyboard switches, but I am always loathe to switch away from something that essentially works in case I can't / forget how to get back.

Feel free to accent anything in any of my posts.
Yep, that's me too - daren't change anything in case I mess the whole thing up.....
I tend to think of accents as optional embellishments (runs and ducks for cover) - sort of like hundreds and thousands that you sprinkle on fairy cakes - they look pretty but the cake's basically as good without.....
And, yes, I know they change the pronunciation and all that but a bit has to be left to the imagination....
(In fact, I always used them when writing by hand but can't find them/forget where they are on the computer so, like Indy, apologies for all missing accents and please correct any that offend).

I sympathise with this. I once typed a note in English without realising that I'd switched keyboards to another language, and it wound up quite peculiar indeed.
It's a real Brit-fest this afternoon, with at last one GB player in every time slot: Cameron Norrie up first in singles, Luke Bambridge up second in singles (different court), and then the two doubles teams 3rd and 4th. All starts at 1:00 pm ... guessing that's 7:00 pm here?
