Week 46 - ATP Tour Finals 2016 - O2, London

Yes, that is the only situation ( Murray lose in the SF, Djokovic lose in the final ) where the positions would change after the Davis Cup Final - Murray #1 before, but Djokovic #1 after Andy's 275 points come off.

Anything else, and whoever leaves the O2 as #1 ( most likely by winning the title ) will finish the year as #1.

Shame that Cilic took Nishikori to 3 sets today. I do think Kei represents a real challenge to Djokovic but he has struggled a little with durability and that is his second tough 3 setter in 3 days during which time Novak has played barely an hour in a farcical match against Goffin. Hope he had the ice bath ready and will be raring to go tomorrow.

Too many errors by Andy in last two service games  Raonic serving well but not doing anything else special

Willpower. Set all 5-7 7-6(5)

Very perceptive of Tim Henman at *6-5 in the tiebreak : "listening to that crowd they want another set". Difficult to know where to go with that one

So if Novak Djokovic wants that YE Number 1 back, he's going to have to prise it out of AM's hands himself. Well done, Mr Murray. But how on earth will he get through tomorrow?!

Goes the distance ... and goes to Nishikori. I'd be a lot happier about tomorrow if it didn't really matter ....

Phew !!!

Andy's clearly played better, but such effort and yes that willpower word again.

Congrats to Raonic, he played very well in these two break back games when Andy was serving for it, and his game has certainly developed. Will be up to a CH of WR 3 ( albeit rather far behind two other gentlemen ) unless Nishikori takes the title.

Nishikori taking the title ? - now there's one - would I take that now if offered - difficult one.
