Round robin match 3 (Group Edberg/Jarryd): (2) Jamie Murray & Bruno Soares (BRA) CR 7 (4+3) defeated (3) Bob Bryan & Mike Bryan by 3 & 4
That moves them to the top of the standings in the Group (for now at least).
Being reported that unless Dodig/Melo beat Mirnyi/Huey in straight sets, that Jamie and Bruno will have already qualified for the SFs.
Indeed. And then on Thursday Dodig/Melo would have to beat Jamie/Bruno in straight sets and Bryan/Bryan beat Mirnyi/Huey also in straight sets. That would leave three pairs with a record of won 2 lost 1, sets 4-2 and calculators out for games.
Last few games were simply stunning, and anyone who takes to court wearing the type of shorts Cilic chose to put on, probably deserves to take a beating, haha.
Just been looking at a few pictures. This is arguably the best:
"Ghastly" doesn't begin to cover it/them - or, as someone remarked on the Beeb site: Those shorts, Marin. The kind you'd still see on the reduced rack three months after the official end of the New Year's sales.

They are in quite a strong position
Dodig/Melo did win in straight sets, though a still potentially relevant tight 7-5 6-4, so still any of the pairs in the group could still qualify for the SF, any could miss out, although it does need two straight set results the wrong way to endanger Jamie/Bruno
Positions and matches, sets and games won and lost.
And on singles, while I'm not normally particularly interested in attire, the trend towards hideous "tropical-holiday" style shorts is definitely one to be discouraged.

That's a good one! That said, Stan the Man's shorts at last year's French Open take some beating, though Dino's Ted Baker shirts in the DC match against the Yanks last year are up/down there with the worst...
