Anyone who doubted Andy's right to be called WR1, have now had those doubts shot to pieces by possibly GB and Scotland's finest ever sportsman. Andy has just beaten all four of the other Top 5 players, in a row, over a period of just 5 days.

Truly sensational.
Now has anyone ever done that before !?
Clearly in 'normal' knockout it couldn't be done because of seeding so presumably that just leaves other Tour Finals.
His first match this week though was only against the WR 7 Even the group seeding here couldn't allow WRs 2 to 6 as his 5 opponents.
With all that was riding on it too, an absolutely extraordinary week from Andy.

He couldn't possibly have had a tougher draw or tournament, and yet he beat all of them. Utterly remarkable. He's well and truly confirmed his #1 status.
Can't believe how he vultured the World Tour Finals.
???
It's a term used in tennis to describe high ranked players playing in smaller tournaments just to pick up easy points and trophies.
It was used by a certain poster on here after Murray won Vienna.
Thanks for the explanation. Never saw it used after his victory in Vienna or I'd've questioned it then, as I disapprove strongly of nouns incorrectly used as verbs.
That was amazing - didn't get behind the sofa once. I'm still in shock that Andy managed to play that well and win that comfortably after such a tough week. He fully deserves all the plaudits he gets. A fantastic year for the Murray family and British tennis.
Thanks to all the posters on here who keep us so well informed and are so supportive of our players.
Great result for Scotland's no 1 sensational he beat Novak fair and square and he can get better with Novak at least 6000 points or more to defend till the end of clay court season.
