Week 45 - Great Britain F6 ($10,000) - Barnstaple (indoor hard)

Yes. A highly successful week comes to an end, but not before some giant strides have been taken. Congrats to Alastair and let's hope he can continue his progress.

in middle of 2 QTR of neil pauffley  sponsorship by A1 Pharmaceuticals

we currently averaging 3.35 points per tournament does not sound a lot but its a significant improvement on the average 1.5 points per tournament in first 2 QTRs prior to his sponsorship

The current projection 60 points in 6 months c550

not able to travel with Neil at moment which I feel with Marcus made a difference hopefully can building on these improving results I think more training blocks with Matt smith could take us up to a new level and then hopefully play more challengers

ideally like neil to travel with Marcus and then pair in the doubles although I also wonder if dropping doubles like did this week might improve success & energy for singles

Good win for Neil, and a useful 10 points.

Now for Freddie in the final ...

Hi Bob when you consider neil got 6 points in first 6 months and now after working together since end June averaging about 4 points when agreed a min of 12 months sponsorship with A1 Pharmaceuticals  it's starting to pay off with 2 singles finals unfortunately leaving early for Euro business trip tomorrow so can't be in Neil's corner but confident we have turned a corner and can build on this success

you may have noticed that neil dropped the doubles this week unless pairing with a quality doubles partner e.g. Clayton , O Mara , or indeed Marcus we feel that it might be a distraction and an unnecessary use of energy for minimal gain

hoping to rack up some points climb the rankings and then hopefully  travel to same challengers with  marcus & pair in the doubles it Great if marcus & Neil could win a doubles challenger which they are more than capable of doing

His points this week will offset some of thsoe coming off this week which may be important. It will avoid having to play qualies at some of the stronger Futures.  Really pleased for Neil. I always get the feeling he is a hard worker.  Let's hope as you say that this is a springboard for a good 2017.

Good week from several of the Brits and great to see Neil Pauffley getting deep into this event.

As an aside one thing I dont understand is why Futures results take a week to appear on the rankings. I know it has always been that way, and presumed it was historically because many of the events where played in locations and under conditions that didnt allow fast updates to the ATP HQ. But surely the world is different now, we can all see the results coming in live and they could easily process all the results by Monday morning? Am I being daft or is this an outdated process that needs updating? Surely it would be better if the guys playing this weeks final could see their efforts rewarded on Monday??

Better still, Neil has beaten Freddie 4&4 to win his final as well.
