On the face of it, rather curious to see Mandy playing a 10K hard court tournament in Norway.

I guess there's a reason ...

The Nantes 50k is cancelled and all the other 25k/50ks involve serious travel. She was down for the 25k in Bratislava next week but has now withdrawn. Anybodies guess !

Mandy has a number of 1 pointers in her list so is already net +1 for the week - also down for more 10ks. She also has a 12 and a 4 to defend by the end of the year.

It would be great to see her finish the year well under 300 smile

Yes, be good to finish the year strongly. Almost feels a bit like Mandy's comparatively lost direction a bit for whatever reasons, maybe some niggles, since her great form of the spring. And in a way all those 1 pointers etc being part of her counters show she hasn't been able to really produce in as many weeks as she would probably like.

If she could consistently really put all she has together, stay fit and well, with a well chosen schedule, I do think she could have a very good 2017.

For several years Mandy performed very successfully at the $10K level but invariably failed at higher levels. This year she has made the successful transition to $25K and higher with several successful runs. Next year I look forward to seeing her making more successful runs in higher ranked tournaments. As a specialist clay court player she does sometimes suffer from a shortage of appropriate level clay court tournaments throughout the year.
