Week 44 - Great Britain F4 ($10,000) - Sheffield (indoor hard)

And Rich Gabb puts out the Frenchman too.

Great wins for Jonny and Rich. And great effort by Marshall.

The Brits more than holding their own against the peskies

Great win for O'Mara that.

Didn't Grigelis go on a bit of a Brit-bashing streak a couple of years back? Surprised to see him still around at this level.

Two is, to be honest, two more than I thought would be in the semis. (Wasn't sure how Richard Gabb would do, despite his seeding, in his first tournament back). A huge well done to them both!

I thought Billy Harris was going to beat Rich in the earlier rounds, but full credit to Rich for making the most of his opportunity.  An all GB final is probably not got the best odds, but it would be very nice indeed.

Jonny had a few BPs in the decider, but couldn't make them count.  Freddie, unfortunately, did.  cry

Pity. But another decent and very solid week for Jonny. Freddie is a quality player so no shame in the result today.

Hopefully Jonny can put in another good week next week and make it three on the trot.

Meanwhile, Rich is finding it tough going against the top seed. He lost the opening set 6-1 and is already a break down in the 2nd.
