Sorry some inaccuracies just looked him up in depth and he was doing history, so Mr Whitehouse will kill him in the tiebreaks.
The Jeremy Lin story made waves in the UK indeed all round the world as he is the first Chinese American to make it the NBA. Only 6'3" so a basketball dwarf and a devout Christian.
Couldn't get a basket ball scholarship at a DI school so went to Harvard.
I was out there in 2010 and was aware that Harvard had a decent basketball player.
Ivy League sport is its own micro-environment good standard but rarely throws out elite athletes in mass participation sports, So thought nothing of it. He didn't get drafted but signed as a free agent at Golden state who at the time were horrible, bounced around the D league, eventually got on the Knicks roster, at the time also horrible. Lots of injuries he got in the team about Feb 2012 and lead a horrible team, who had been horrible for sometime, in a winning streak that lit up the networks most nights in the U.S. and stared a phenomena known as "Linsanity"
keep your eyes open for the Dysney film. I feel Nicky Hu may make less of an impact but hope he enjoys his time in the UK, should do the exchange rate is good!
Decent effort from ATB against Freddie Nielson taking the 1st set 6-4. But the Dane came back to win the next two sets 6-1. At least we will have one (new) board member happy this evening.

You are right! Freddie must have been watching Liverpool on his smart phone in the first set....

Well done to 18 year-old Sean Hodkin on his first ATP point !
Sean beat Rob Carter in the qualis so he can't be too shabby
NB When people were talking about Rhett Purcell being a highly ranked junior, it's worth remembering that Rob Carter, Sam Hutt, Jonathan Cornish, Tom Allen etc. etc. etc. have all been better ranked than Rhett (or nearly) and not managed to move over to adult tennis with any great success. Which is not knocking Rhett in any shape or form, or his ranking, but just saying that there are many, many juniors of about JWR 70 who don't go on to adult tennis success.
And, from the interview that was posted on the university's website, has been part of their competitive finance programme: www.virginiasports.com/sports/m-tennis/spec-rel/020316aab.html. It's another factor, isn't it. At a guess, an athlete who's been part of a national championship team and has also successfully graduated from a top-flight university finance programme is not going to be lacking job offers.
