Andy is doing it the right way, by performing well over the course of the year. In no way is it moral to retire from a match to let someone else be no 1. Andy had made 3 grand slam finals (winning 1), how that is undeserving of potentially being no1 is beyond me. Your statement is frankly ridiculous.

Andy takes the first set tie-break by 11-9 after trailing by *1-6 & serving a double fault to give Berd-brain his umpteenth set point at (I think) 8-8!

He also won the Olympics - the most prestigious event outside the slams - which doesn't even count towards the rankings. Where did Djokovic finish in that again? Oh right.
Anyway, I wish people wouldn't feed the troll. Funnily enough the tennis rankings are one of the strongest out there, statistically speaking.
But Berdych then decides to return the favour, throwing in a wild volley and a double fault to hand the break back, after some good play from Andy saw him to a 15-30 lead.
Another attempt for Murray.

The people on this forum sum up Brexit mentality, aka denial. Everyone over on mtf knows the joker is still the moral number 1. But Murray is the computer vulturing number 1.
I'm going mtf full time, this forum used to be fun, but too many brexiters joined that cannot handle harsh truths.
