Week 44 - South Africa F1 ($10,000) - Stellenbosch (hard)

Thanks for letting us know - and he (and you) can be assured of all our best wishes. The fact that he was carrying an injury makes the earlier wins even more impressive. Well done - and hope all's better quickly!

PS: By the way, I am now assuming that there will be a 30 degree heat wave in December and snow in June, that the Greens are going to win this week's US elections, that Wycombe Wanderers will win this year's FA Cup (I have no idea whether that's technically possible or not ... don't really follow football), etc. Why this assumption that the natural order is about to invert? Because SC has just used the term 'tennised out' Even with quotes and a parenthetical ouch, that is something I would never have expected!

Hi All,
Sad to end such a good week on a retirement. Jay was struggling with an ab strain over the last couple of days and on the Physio's advice he retired.. he's had some treatment and it's feeling better already. Fingers crossed he'll be back to full fitness for next week
Thanks again everyone

Thanks for the update and delighted it doesn't sound too serious.  As you say, fingers crossed he will be firing on all cylinders again next week.

For the first half of that post I thought this was a bit of an odd over-reaction to Murray's achievement today. Good thing I read through to the end!

That made me laugh! No, Mr Murray doesn't enter into it, as you say. It's just a gentle (I hope clearly so) jest written with great affection and admiration for someone whose love of grammar and language equals and exceeds even my own. And that takes some doing.
