That R1 win will take Jay to 16 points ( with last week's Loughborough point still to add too ). That should have him verging on the top 900. And he has no points to defend until May.

It is - and I'd also be really interested to know whether the players have been engaged at all by the student protests around tuition fees. If it's where they hold the junior events in Stellenbosch, it's a sports area well away from the town. Rather beautiful - at the foot of some mountains and next to some vineyards.

I wonder if that is the same area where I played cricket many years ago. I seem to remember tennis courts there. That was very close to vineyards and with a stunning backdrop. If you hit a big straight six back over the bowlers head, you where in grave danger of smashing about 100.000 bottles of wine that were stored there.
